Natural Resources Institute Finland Luke

Luke has a wide set of skills and experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), data collection techniques, and stakeholder cooperation. The team has a wide experience on research and development which integrates biomass and waste based treatment technology to food system in a sustainable way. In the following projects Luke will study the areas related to AVARE project in Finland and shares the experiences with the partner-countries: Biological VFA production 2016-2017, CIRCWASTE 2016-2021, LIFE IP-project, WASTEESTIMATOR 2016-2017, LEXFOODWASTE 2016-2017
The Luke research team also covers the amount of food wasted in the food chain, its sources and related environmental impacts in households, hospitality sector, trade, manufacturing and agriculture, biomass processing and bioenergy production technology and nutrient recycling.
